What does the dragon represent in Japan?
Japan and dragons have a long history, with these legendary creatures revered as symbols of good fortune, power, and wisdom.
The Japanese dragon, or ryu/tatsu, makes its first appearance in Japanese mythology as far back as 680 A.D. It's believed to be the ancestor of Japan's first emperor, giving it great importance as a symbol for the emperor, making it highly respected and revered in Japanese society.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to measure your shoulder, bust, and length for clothing in just 5 steps:
- Measure your shoulder width:
- Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Place the end of the measuring tape at the edge of your left shoulder and measure straight across to the edge of your right shoulder.
- Make sure the measuring tape is straight and level across your back.
- Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
- Measure your chest / bust:
- Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, making sure it's parallel to the ground.
- Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight, and that it's not cutting into your skin.
- Wear a well-fitting bra, or no bra at all, when taking this measurement.
- Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
- Measure your waist:
- Stand up straight with your feet together.
- Wrap the measuring tape around your natural waistline, which is typically the smallest part of your waist.
- Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight, and that it's not cutting into your skin.
- Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
- Measure your hip:
- Stand up straight with your feet together.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips, making sure it's parallel to the ground.
- Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight, and that it's not cutting into your skin.
- Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
- Measure the length:
- For a shirt or blouse: measure from the top of your shoulder to the hemline at the bottom of your shirt or blouse.
- For a dress: measure from the top of your shoulder to the hemline at the bottom of the dress.
- For pants or jeans: measure from your natural waistline to the hemline at the bottom of the pants or jeans.
- For a skirt: measure from your natural waistline to the hemline at the bottom of the skirt.
- Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
With these five simple steps, you should be able to measure your shoulder, bust, and length for clothing, allowing you to select the appropriate size and ensure a good fit.
